  • Women’s Club
    • Next meet­ing Thursday May 8, 2025 at 7pm @ HQ
    • First fundrais­er, chick­en din­ner July 11, 2025 5 – 7pm 1st Presbyterian $12
  • Men’s Club
    • Meeting at May 15 7pm
    • Breakfast May 17 9 – 11am- all pro­ceeds going to Riley Hospital
  • Election Board
    • None- next meet­ing is in June
  • Fundraising
    • Sheila- can­not sell bot­tled water at Celebration in the Ville, not a vendor
    • Working toward pur­chas­ing a pro­jec­tor for a movie night
    • Asked if we can give away and put a dona­tion box out, ask­ing why can’t be a ven­dor- can sell any­thing inside- for CITV
    • Need a temp food ven­dor with health dept to sell hot dogs etc
    • Rummage sale- made $100, lot of things left over, Tammy will sell the rest at her per­son­al yard sale Memorial Day week­end. If any more dona­tions, con­tact Sheila
    • Monthly meals- Central Committee do a month­ly meal? Beth sug­gest­ed a lunch. Tammy sug­gest­ed Farmer’s Market to cap­ture those cus­tomers. FM clos­es at noon- cus­tomers like­ly won’t come over. Need a con­sis­tent sched­ule. Sync to rail­road or oth­er down­town sched­uled things. List on RR web­site. Doing fundrais­er dur­ing Art Stroll not suc­cess­ful. More infor­ma­tion, will talk about again.
    • Fair- appli­ca­tion will be due ASAP, usu­al­ly by April. Tent will be 16×16. Tim and Beth Sholze donat­ing a tent, will not have to rent from the fair board. Needs to be a heavy empha­sis on fundrais­ing. Temporary gam­ing license- Bingo night?
    • Silent auc­tions dur­ing chick­en dinners?
    • Do a din­ner on one of the week­ly nights or the fair?
  • Building Committee
    • Applied for Urban Enterprise on March 17, have not heard any­thing back. Next meet­ing is May 13, new direc­tor is Brad Colter

5. Old Business

  • Guest Brenda Smith VP of 6th District- shared mobilize.us- is a web­site that com­piles local information/​events. Brings more awareness/​advertising, eas­i­ly shared on mobile devices. Also- QR codes to reg­is­ter to vote. Print off and lam­i­nate to always have on per­son. Encourage peo­ple to reg­is­ter to vote AND vote in every elec­tion. Last year 400,000 Democrats in Indiana did not vote. Make note of hous­es of hous­es that make indi­ca­tions of their polit­i­cal affil­i­a­tion. Small protests/​vigils
  • Laurel 50501 protest on Saturday May 3
  • Donations for build­ing fund- EDG will pay 80% of cost, 6K, will need to come up with $1200 to cov­er the rest. Set up month­ly recur­ring donations?
  • County offices up for elec­tion in 2026: Need to get going on find­ing can­di­dates. Print out list and hand it out at the fair? Start ask­ing. Positions ARE paid
  • Protest- thanks for par­tic­i­pa­tion, more sup­port than adverse reac­tions, will plan anoth­er one in con­junc­tion with nation­al 50501
  • Bereavement- Sheila decid­ed to leave it as it is, $25 dona­tion toward pre­ferred char­i­ty. Donna motion to stay the same, Beth sec­ond­ed, motion passed

6. New Business

  • Men’s Club- $ and labor to fix bath­room sink, raise floor in kitchen, bought extra mate­ri­als to lev­el the floor in the kitchen
  • News Examiner- Terry spoke with Donna, can put meet­ing info etc in the news­pa­per- cur­rent events section
  • Beth and Tim went to Scholarship night- helped with Lions Club Scholarship. Wanting to start schol­ar­ship fund. Ended because of mon­ey issues. Tim has info about dead­lines, will get the infor­ma­tion to the cen­tral com­mit­tee to look at to decide if we want to do that
  • Discord is func­tion­al- Remi will be send­ing infor­ma­tion to download/​join
  • Community din­ner- last month served 56 + left­overs, send­ing signup sheet around for food/​time donations
